So, for those of you that haven't seen The Last Airbender teaser trailer, go. Watch. NOW! [link]

Okay, first off, can I just say how STOKED I am for this movie? Before the teaser, I was excited, but now, WOW! I AM SO FRIKKEN ECSTATIC! yeah.

So, some of my friends are complaining that the teaser is boring. I admit, it doesn't just ride on thrills like most teasers, but that's what I like about it! I think that the teaser really shows how much the director (M. Night) studied the show and the kung fu, and I think that it shows that this is not just going to be an action movie, this may have some really deep potential!

Then, HOW COOL DOES THAT AIRBENDING LOOK? When it was first announced that Avatar: The Last Airbender was going to be made into a movie, I was REALLY worried about how the bending would look. I really think that they did a great job, I love how wispy and imprecise it looks-air is a free element, and I don't think it would be easy to exactly control it. And, the actor REALLY looks like he's bending!

I'm also going to randomly point out how bad-a his cloak is. I'm thinking that this movie may be a bit darker and the prospect of that excites me. The staff look awesome as well, look at the sides! IT BECoMES A GLIDER!!!!1!11

How long do you think it took them to light those candles? or could they be special effects? The candles are a really cool idea though, I like it.

The location is total hotsauce! WOW! I'm so amazed! And the ships, everything just is totally awesome.

The only thing I hated was the guy's voice in the background...I just didn't like his voice, they should have gotten Katara to do it.

Anyway. I have to go finish packing now, but I'd love to hear what you think!

EDIT: 1:08 you can see firenation guards climbing up the cliff, 1:12 they are storming the beach! They look like little ants! How cool is this going to be in theaters?

One of my other friends was complaining that she couldn't tell in what part of the series this teaser takes place, need I remind you that, first, the film is an adaptation of the series: DON'T EXPECT IT TO BE THE SAME!!! and, second, this is a TEASER! This part may not be in the film AT ALL.

First, look at Zuko's scar. I think that they did a pretty good job on it. Yeah, I wish his eyebrow was gone, but, whatever.
and is that Iroh on the right? the skinny guy in the fuzzy hat? I'm not sure how I feel about that one...I guess I'm neutral.

Second, some people were complaining about Aangs tattoo, zoom up on it. LOOK AT THE HAWTSAUCE! It's amazingly detailed! In the middle of the arrow there's even an airbending symbol!

And for those of you who miss ponytail Zuko, [link] Honestly, I don't think it would've looked very good live action.
